Holistic Psychotherapy: Feel More Grounded, Safe & Like Yourself Again
Do you feel like you're functioning, but not really thriving—stuck in patterns of stress, overthinking, and self-doubt? Our trauma-informed psychologist helps adults and teens understand the deeper patterns behind these struggles, creating meaningful, lasting change rather than temporary relief.
Meet Erin, Your Holistic Psychologist
Erin is a Licensed Psychologist with 20+ years of experience working with adults and adolescents. Her approach brings together relational psychology, somatic healing and nervous system care, recognising that what we feel in the body and carry in the mind are often part of the same pattern.
Rather than focusing only on coping strategies, Erin helps clients understand the deeper patterns, beliefs and experiences that may be driving anxiety, stress and emotional exhaustion.
Her work is especially suited to those who are self-aware and reflective, but feel something still isn’t shifting despite the tools they’ve already tried.
Erin sees clients online and in person in the Oakland Hills on Mondays and Fridays. Book an appointment or call to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

“Twenty years of clinical work has taught me that lasting change rarely comes from understanding alone. I'm a licensed psychologist trained in EMDR, somatic therapy, IFS, and breathwork and I keep learning because my clients deserve an approach that meets the full complexity of what they carry.”

-
Many adult clients are already highly self-aware and have tried various approaches to improve their wellbeing, yet still find themselves returning to familiar patterns of stress, anxiety, burnout, or physical symptoms. This work helps uncover and shift the deeper emotional and identity-based patterns beneath those cycles.
-
This includes work with mothers and caregivers who are holding it all together, often beautifully, while quietly running on empty.
The mental load of keeping a family functioning leaves little room for error and even less room for yourself. Sessions offer a space to explore not just the stress, but the identity and nervous system patterns beneath it — so that healing doesn’t have to wait until everything else is handled first.
-
Teen sessions provide a supportive space to explore stress, anxiety, self-worth, identity, emotional overwhelm, and nervous system regulation during a critical stage of development. The focus is not simply on managing symptoms, but helping teens build a more grounded and authentic sense of self.
Parent check-ins are available where appropriate to support the process while ensuring the teen remains the primary client within sessions.
Who Erin Works With
Our Treatment Approach
The goal isn't to feel better in the moment — it's to stop recreating the same patterns. Using trauma-informed relational and somatic therapy, we work with the nervous system and identity-level beliefs keeping the cycle running.
-
Attachment-based therapy is form of therapy that applies to interventions or approaches based on attachment theory, which explains how the relationship a parent has with its child influences development.
-
Culturally sensitive therapists understand that people from different backgrounds have different values, practices, and beliefs, and are sensitive to those differences when working with individuals and families in therapy.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps people process trauma, addictions and phobias. Using bilateral stimulation, clients focus on difficult thoughts, emotions or sensations and learn to process and let them pass.
-
Integrative therapy combines elements from different therapeutic approaches to create a personalised approach to healing. It can also help bring unresolved aspects of the self together, supporting greater emotional flexibility and wellbeing.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that helps identify and understand different parts of the self, including wounded and protective parts. It aims to heal emotional wounds, reduce inner conflict and create greater balance and self-compassion.
-
Psychodynamic therapy helps clients explore unconscious thoughts and patterns that may influence emotions, relationships and behaviour. By building greater self-awareness and insight, it can help address unresolved conflicts and create meaningful change.
-
Relational Life Therapy (RLT) helps couples understand and address patterns causing conflict or disconnection. It provides practical strategies to improve communication, rebuild emotional intimacy and create healthier ways of relating.
-
Somatic psychotherapy focuses on the connection between the mind and body, exploring how emotions and past experiences can affect physical sensations and responses. It can help clients process trauma and improve emotional regulation and daily functioning.
-
Trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) helps people who may be experiencing post-traumatic stress after a traumatic event to return to a healthy state.
-
Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST) helps clients understand and manage the effects of trauma by working with emotional and physical responses in a safe, structured way. It focuses on building stability, reducing distress and developing healthier ways of responding to triggers.
