Hyon Joo Hong, M. Osteo. Med, Bach. Clin.Sc (Osteo), C. WWC
Osteopathic Manual Therapist
Hyon Joo is an Australian trained non-physician Osteopathic Manual Therapist who blends manual therapy, movement practice, and somatic inquiry with trauma-informed care.
She holds a Master of Osteopathic Medicine and a Bachelor of Clinical Science, as well as a Diploma in Professional Pilates Instruction and a Certificate in Women’s Wellness Coaching. She continues to deepen her expertise through post-graduate training in Somatic Psychotherapy.
Her varied training reflects a deep curiosity about how bodies carry history, adapt over time, and respond to countless influences. This perspective shapes the way she supports each person with care that is both attuned and responsive.
Having worked in diverse integrative clinics across Australia and the U.S., Hyon Joo values collaborative, whole-person care. She is dedicated to supporting people navigating pain, stress, trauma, nervous system challenges, and the physical and emotional transitions of perimenopause and beyond.
Her experience as an immigrant, living across multiple cultures, has given her a keen sensitivity to nuance. Grounded in both formal training and ongoing personal inquiry, she offers space and gentle guidance for those drawn to meaningful, body-based healing.
Originally from South Korea, Hyon Joo is fluent in both Korean and English and deeply appreciates the values and diversity of both Eastern and Western cultures.
