ABOUT NOURISH OSTEO
Welcome. We are delighted you found us. We look forward to sharing our knowledge of osteopathic care with you as you move closer to understanding your health and improving your well-being.
As osteopathic manual therapists (OMT), we believe the body has an incredible capacity to heal when in the right environment. Using our hands we work with your body’s built in healing force, what we refer to as the Health. The Health is discussed uniquely in osteopathic principles as the perfect template of life that all tissues and systems respond to when they are not under stress or strain. When stress or strain occur the body must compensate, it is these compensations that are the cause of the discomfort, pain or dis-ease you present with. We work with your body and support healing by finding the cause of this discomfort and aligning it with the health. We do this using a variety of osteopathic techniques that are chosen specifically to support you and your healing.
All practitioners at Nourish Osteo have acquired the in-depth knowledge required to practice OMT with at least 5 years of university training focused on traditional osteopathic principles and practice. We have an extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and a strong focus in clinic on the musculoskeletal system and its relationship to the healthy function of all systems of the body. We have continued to learn and grow as practitioners through further education courses from around the world. Specifically, we have great passion and training in the biodynamics of osteopathy in the cranial field/cranial osteopathy. We see this work as an incredible way to access the powerful ability of the body to heal from all that body has endured to get you here today.
